Jay Blasingame, M.D.
Education/Experience
Dr. Jay Blasingame is an American Board of Surgery certified general surgeon who was born and raised in Perryton. He graduated from Perryton High School in 2006. His undergraduate degree in Biology was completed at Texas Christian University in 2010. In Lubbock, he received his Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University in 2015. He completed his five year general surgery residency in Dallas at Methodist Health System in 2020.
Personal Life
He is married to fellow OGH employee DNP, CRNA Megan Blasingame they share two daughters Catherine (4) and Mary Michael (2).
In his spare time, he loves to golf, hunt, fish, farm and ranch.
Why OGH?
Jay chose to return home to provide surgical services at OGH because he wants to give back to the community that he learned so much from growing up. He loves the small town life and having the time to really know his patients. He looks forward to serving the community and surrounding areas for years to come!
