Volunteer Opportunities

At Ochiltree General Hospital, volunteers can assist as part of the OGH Auxiliary or as a OGH Home Health and Hospice volunteer. Whether you're helping at the gift shop, making a delivery to a patient's room, or interacting at the bedside, you will positively affect a family's experience at your local hospital.

OGH Ladies Auxiliary

The Ladies Auxiliary at Ochiltree General Hospital is an active group of women who fill a number of rolls within our doors. Whether they are staffing the hospital gift shop or visiting patients, these ladies are a welcome presence here at Ochiltree General.

Hospice of OGH Volunteers

Established to provide a wide range of health care services in the comfort of the patient’s home, Hospice of OGH works to support patients and their families. As an affiliate of Ochiltree General, Hospice of OGH offers continuity of care from the hospital to the home coordinated and provided by compassionate well-trained professionals who focus on the patient’s specific needs.

Along with those services, Hospice of OGH is blessed with a group of volunteers who make themselves available to patients' families during their time of need allowing families to take care of needs outside their homes without worrying about their loved one while they are gone.

The Seasons Assisted Living

The Seasons Assisted Living is a community of independent seniors who choose to make their everyday lives a bit easier thanks to some assistance from caring staff members. The Seasons provides an environment in which seniors have access to the best of care and services in our area while also allowing them to maintain their independence and dignity.

The Seasons has volunteers who come to do a variety of activities with our residents. Volunteers are appreciated for everything from playing the piano and singing to painting with residents to churches who come weekly to worship with residents. The Seasons residents love our volunteers and the time they get to spend with them.

If you would like more information on how to become a Seasons volunteer, please contact their office at 806-648-7500.

Meals on Wheels Volunteer

For millions of Americans, Meals on Wheels is literally the difference between remaining in their own homes and needing to relocate to a nursing facility. The nutritious meal, friendly visit and safety check help them cope with three of the biggest threats of aging: hunger, isolation and loss of independence. Research proves that when seniors have the right support, they gain greater quality of life, need fewer hospital stays and live longer.
