Introducing Our New Pediatric Sensory Integration Room
We are proud to announce the opening of our brand-new, state-of-the-art Sensory Integration Room. This specialized space is designed to support children and adolescents with diverse sensory processing, engagement, and individualized learning needs.
Equipped with therapeutic tools—including a specialized pediatric slide, adaptive swing, and safety-focused trampoline—the room allows our Occupational Therapy team to create dynamic, play-based interventions.
How Sensory Integration Supports Your Child:
- Sensory Regulation: Safely channels energy and provides the exact calming or stimulating input a child needs to regulate their nervous system.
- Active Engagement: Combines fun, motivating movement with targeted therapy goals to keep children fully engaged in their treatment.
- Individualized Milestones: Supports motor planning, balance, core strength, and coordination in a controlled, supportive environment tailored to each child’s unique learning style.
Whether your child needs help navigating sensory overload or building foundational motor skills, our new room offers a welcoming, clinical space where breakthroughs happen through purposeful play.
Pediatric Speech Therapy for Autism Spectrum Disorder
Communication is the foundation of connection, learning, and independence. Our Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) team provides highly individualized, neurodiversity-affirming care designed to meet children where they are. Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all approach, we build custom treatment plans that celebrate your child's unique strengths while addressing their specific communication goals.
Common areas of focus in our pediatric speech program include:
- Expressive Language DevelopmentSupporting your child in finding and using their voice—whether that means developing spoken words and phrases, or utilizing alternative communication methods (such as sign language, picture boards, or speech-generating AAC devices).
- Receptive Language & UnderstandingHelping children process, comprehend, and confidently respond to spoken language, daily instructions, and the world around them.
-
Social & Pragmatic CommunicationBuilding the skills to help children connect naturally with peers and family. We focus on natural social interactions, including:
- Initiating play and conversations.
- Practicing turn-taking in cooperative activities.
- Understanding non-verbal cues like facial expressions, body language, and emotions.
- Navigating eye contact in a way that is natural, comfortable, and never forced.
