PERRYTON, TEXAS – Ochiltree General Hospital (OGH) is proud to announce that Dr. Manon “Tripps” Childers III has been named the Trauma Medical Director of the Year by the Regional Advisory Council (RAC) for Service Area A. The prestigious award recognizes Dr. Childers's outstanding leadership and dedication to advancing trauma care throughout the region.

The nomination, written by OGH CEO Kelly Judice, highlighted Dr. Childers's commitment to the team and his passion for excellent patient care. Upon receiving the honor, Dr. Childers left a heartfelt note for the OGH team, a gesture that reflects his belief that the award is a shared accomplishment. The note read: "Your excellent care has been noticed and apparently you make me look good! It is a blessing to work with you, thank you."

The award from the RAC for Service Area A, which encompasses the upper 25 counties of the Texas Panhandle, highlights OGH's commitment to providing top-tier trauma services. Dr. Childers’ leadership since 1996 has been instrumental in ensuring the hospital’s readiness to handle complex cases and provide the best possible outcomes for trauma patients.
