Rick Siewert, D.O.
Education/Experience
Dr. Siewert was raised in the Texas Panhandle, specifically, Amarillo. He went through all levels of school in Amarillo including attending Amarillo College. Dr. Siewert earned his bachelors degree in Biology at the University of Houston. He began his Masters in Biology at North Texas University but was interrupted because he was admitted to Osteopathic Medical School in Kansas City, KS. After graduation, a rotating internship was done at Ft. Worth Osteopathic Hospital associated with Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Siewert is certified in Family Practice with added qualifications in Sports Medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians since 1995. He is currently an Ochiltree County Health Officer and physician liaison for Senior Village Nursing home as well as an active member at OGH hospital and ER Coverage.
Personal Life
Dr. Siewert's children Cameron and Caroline were raised here in Perryton and have been through the entire school system and were more than prepared to go on to higher learning. Dr. Siewert is blessed to have his wife, Teresa, who has worked for First Bank Southwest for 30 years in the loan department as well as handling the home duties and expectations of a physician's wife and mother. Teresa's daughter Jenny has also attended PISD and went on to pursue higher education.
Why OGH?
The City of Perryton search committee lead by the Ochiltree Hospital District and Perryton Chamber contacted Dr. Siewert about a possible move to Perryton to begin a medical practice. The efforts of those energetic individuals, the great medical staff, and board of OGH that brought his family to Perryton. Dr. Siewert has enjoyed the 40 years of service he has been able to render with the rest of the medical staff team and look forward to the years ahead with new staff and facilities to take this medical community through the next generations.
