OGH to take over EMS services January 1, 2025.

Ochiltree General Hospital (OGH)is pleased to announce that, following a series of productive discussions with our partners at The City of Perryton and Ochiltree County, OGH will assume responsibility for the local Emergency Medical Service effective January 1, 2025. The three entities will continue to share costs and have formalized an updated interlocal agreement to ensure seamless operation. cost and an updated interlocal agreement. OGH will take on day-to-day management of the EMS service reflecting our core mission to provide comprehensive healthcare to the community and region.

 

OGH also intends to partner with a third-party organization with specialized expertise in rural EMS management. Contract negotiations are currently underway, and the proposed agreement will be presented to the Ochiltree County Hospital District (OCHD) Board of Directors for review and approval in the coming months.

 

By incorporating EMS within the Hospital District, we are furthering our commitment to providing a continuum of care for our patients.  This integration will enhance our ability to deliver high-quality healthcare to all community members, ensuring that our patients receive the best possible care at every stage of their treatment.
