OGH Announces Updated COVID-19 Visitor Policy

March 19, 2020 – Effective today, March 19, 2020, Ochiltree General Hospital will begin taking further measures to protect our patients.


Main Hospital: No visitors will be allowed to enter the hospital. This includes emergency room, outpatient and inpatients. Pediatric patients (under the age of 18) and OB patients will be allowed one person to accompany them. Those individuals will undergo screening before entering the hospital.


The Seasons Assisted Living: No visitors will be allowed to enter The Seasons.


The Perryton Health Center and the DeWitt Family Practice: The clinics have implemented office hours based on sick and well visits. If you have symptoms including fever, sore throat, cough or difficulty breathing, please call your primary care physician before physically going to the rural health clinic or the Emergency Department. This will allow for screening to occur prior to your arrival.


Family Health Center and Childers-Siewert Clinic: The clinics have implemented office hours based on sick and well visits. If you have symptoms including fever, sore throat, cough or difficulty breathing, please call your primary care physician before physically going to the clinic or the Emergency Department. This will allow for screening to occur prior to your arrival.


OGH Finance and Home Health: Offices will be closed to outside visitors and volunteers. They will be available by phone to answer any questions that you may have at 806-435-2122.


We continue to monitor all updates from CDC as well as the Texas Department of Health and will make changes as things develop. Rest assured we are doing everything in our power to keep you and your loved ones safe and healthy.
