Corina Ramirez, APRN
Education/Experience
Corina Ramirez, APRN, FNP-C was born in Beaver Oklahoma and raised in Perryton, Tx. She went to college at Texas Tech University where she then transferred to WTAMU to complete her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She then began her journey at NWTHS as a floor nurse for 3 years in Medical and Surgical ICU. In 2011, she and her family decided to move back home where she began working at OGH. She decided to return to school to get her Masters in Science of Nursing after transferring to PISD for school nursing. She worked at OGH for 3 years and another 3 years at PISD. In 2017, she earned her Masters in Science of Nursing through University of Texas at Arlington. She has currently been working as a Family Nurse Practitioner for OGH at DeWitt Family Practice. She has been practicing in her current role now for 4 ½ years. Ms. Ramirez has a particular interest in acute care and pediatrics. She enjoys helping people with chronic illnesses and providing education to better their health in their life span. Ms Ramirez has 15 years of experience within all her roles as a nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner. Her career goal is to complete her Doctorate in Nursing once her children grow up a bit more. She has been a part of Perryton Lions Club, Board Member for Ranger Enrichment Academic Foundation and was nominated as Young Careerist of the Month by Panhandle Professional Woman in Perryton.
Personal Life
In her spare time, she enjoys chasing her boys in all of their sporting events including school and travel ball. She is creative by heart and enjoys crafting and designing. She is married to Adolfo Ramirez, husband of 17 years, and has 3 boys, Noel Ramirez, Joel Ramirez and Abel Ramirez, Bella and Tiger are their family fur babies.
Why OGH?
Ms Ramirez states “It has been an honor to have the opportunity to come back home and take care of a community that has seen her grow up since childhood into her current role. It is in my priority to provide complete evaluation to the best of my abilities to keep our community healthy as well as provide education in new disease processes. I am very thankful to be a part of Ochiltree General Hospital. They have been a family away from home, the support I have received from our hospital is beyond anyone could ever ask for.”
